The budget of the BOCC includes funding for the operations of County Commission departments as well as funding for the operations of the County’s Constitutional Officers; the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector. Additionally the County budget includes funding for a variety of other services including among others, the County Health Unit and the costs associated with criminal prosecutions.

It is important to note that the BOCC is not responsible or authorized to fund the County School System, Municipalities, or Water Districts that exist in Putnam County. These entities are separately funded and are the responsibility of other governing boards.
