About Your Clerk & Comptroller, Matt Reynolds  

Matt Reynolds was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller of Putnam County in 2020. Mr. Reynolds has been a resident of Putnam County from the time he was just a few days old.  He graduated with honors from Palatka High School, St. John’s River State College, and the University of North Florida. He earned a degree in business administration with a major in Finance from the University of North Florida.

He previously served as the Deputy County Administrator for the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners. Previously, he was the Finance Director for the City of Palatka for almost a decade. He also served as the Assistant City Manager and Interim City Manager while at the City of Palatka.

Matt is active in the community and is a member of the Board of Directors for multiple local organizations including the Rotary Club of Palatka, First Coast Community Credit Union, Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, the ARC of Putnam County, and the Children Reading Center Charter School. He has been, or currently is, the treasurer for a majority of these organizations, as well as holding the position of Audit Committee Chairman for First Coast Community Credit Union.​​​​​​​

Matt has been registered as a Republican from the time that he was able to register to vote.  He and his wife, Kari, live in Palatka and have a nine-year-old son and an eighteen-month-old daughter. They actively attend Trinity Baptist Church.​​​​​​​
